She is in charge of all things "reception". She is
also our "front person" who you will see at various functions and conferences.
When not busy keeping CPVETS up and running, Mary heads up The Pennsylvania Ferret Rescue Association. She is also a senior title class judge for the American Ferret Association.

Jennifer Schraf, LVT
Jennifer graduated from
Wilson College in
Chambersburg, PA in
1998 with an associate
degree in science
majoring in veterinary medical technology. She worked at Metzger Animal Hospital for two and a half years before leaving to work at Town and Country Animal Hospital in Warriors Mark, PA. She works for us part time here at CPVETS as a veterinary technician.
Jennifer has two children and two rabbits Fluffy and Jake. She is a resident of Boalsburg.
Amberlee Russell, LVT
Amberlee is a graduate
of the Veterinary
Technician Institute of
Pittsburgh, PA in 2006.
She has been working
in veterinary clinics since graduating from high school in 2003. She joined the CPVETS team in the winter of 2009.
She and her fiance reside in a small town outside of Harrisburg, PA. Currently their "herd" includes Dusty a thoroughbred mare, Mogwhai a pygmy goat, Peaches a beagle mix, Wyatt a border collie mix, cats Macatum, Jade, Delyla, and Nugget, a red ear slider turtle named Gypsy, and an assortment of tropical fish.
Karen Anstead
Karen graduated from
Oklahoma State
University in 2010
with a bachelor’s in
Animal Science. She’s
been working as a
vet tech since 2007
with everything from cats & dogs, to mice & rats, cows, horses, and baboons. She plans to apply to grad school in the future to study immunology.
Karen lives in Pine Grove Mills with her husband James, 2 cats (Highway & Rosie), a border collie named Aubie, and the corn snake with no name.
Andrew Rose
Andy was born and
raised in Pittsburgh,
PA. He is currently a
full time student at
Penn State and plans
to apply to veterinary school in the future. He joined CPVETS in 2010 and also works part time for the State College Veterinary Hospital.
Andy lives in Centre Hall with his pit mix Darby and his four ferrets (Oscar, Theo, James and Audrey).
Elizabeth Wyatt
Liz is from Fairfield, PA
and is currently attending
Penn State. She is
expected to receive her
BS in veterinary and
biomedical sciences in May 2012. She plans to apply to veterinary school in the future.
She is actively involved in the Pre-Vet Club, Small and Exotic Animal Club, and is the treasurer for the Association for Women in Science. Liz has been working at Sheetz for the past 3 years and is also now working at CPVETS.
Liz has loved animals for as long as she can remember. Her favorite animal is the giraffe but she only has a rabbit name Oliver and two cats (Gabby and Tink) at home. Liz the oldest of four children.
Julie Bair
Julie is a stay-at-home
mom who's life long love
of animals, and interest
in working with animals,
led her to be a member
of our team.
Julie was born and raised in Pa; however, she and her husband Scott both spent many years away from Pennsylvania while they were serving in the military. After completing their military service they both moved back to Pennsylvania and now happily reside in Park Forest, State College.
Their favorite pastime in just "hanging out" as a family, with their two children, Jordan and Jack, their two Golden Retrievers, Rocky and Bullwinkle, and their Cat, "Kitty". Other pets of the Bair Family include Jack and Jordan's "beloved" Hermit Crabs "Buddy" and "Bubbles".
Angelina has over 10 years of experience working as a veterinary technician. She has spent a good portion of that time in supervisory roles as well as in an emergency setting.
When not at CPVETS, she volunteers for the American Brittany Rescue. Recently, Angelina became the proud mother of an adorable little boy who joined her husband, 2 brittany spaniels and 4 cats last year!
She has 9 years of
experience in veterinary
medicine. Up until now,
she has been working in
private practice, but
would like a career change. We are looking forward to her bringing her skills to our facility!
Ida was born and raised in Baltimore, Ohio. Her family still resides in the area.
Ida is a country girl at heart who likes to raise chickens and spend her spare time fishing and four wheeling.
Ida has a Bull Dog mix name Snotsy, and resides in Lewistown.
